Volvo Malaysia appoints Pekin Auto as latest dealer rep in JB

KUALA LUMPUR: Volvo Car Malaysia has appointed Pekin Auto Sdn Bhd as its latest dealer representative in Johor Bahru.

This is in line with Volvo Malaysia’s expansive transformation plan aimed at improving overall customer experience.

The latest addition to the Volvo Malaysia dealer network brings its nationwide total of dealers to 13 with more locations expected in the coming months.

Volvo Malaysia said the new 3S centre (sales, service and spare parts) located near Skudai, will adhere to Volvo’s latest VRE (Volvo Retail Experience) requirement. It is a standard that delivers a holistic brand experience for customers at any of Volvo Cars’ authorised locations.

“VRE goes beyond its Scandinavian-inspired aesthetics; it is the manifestation of our brand values and our desire to take care of our customers throughout their whole journey with Volvo Cars,” said Volvo Malaysia managing director Nalin Jain.

The company said it was aggressively implementing the next phase of its transformation plan with a premier focus set on customer experience and dealer network.

Internal polls were already showing positive results thanks to improvements made in these two key areas, it added.

Volvo Malaysia said its growth in representation in turn had helped record increased sales for the brand by more than 60 per cent in the first half of 2019.

“I am happy that our brand has been well-received in the market. We are committed in allowing our customers greater choice by appointing qualified and professional companies like Pekin Auto to represent the brand in key areas,” said Nalin.
