Serba Dinamik secures EPCC contract worth RM1.05b

KUALA LUMPUR: Serba Dinamik Holdings Bhd’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Serba Dinamik International Ltd (SDIL), has bagged an engineering, construction and commissioning (EPCC) contract worth RM1.05 billion for a chlorine processing plant in Uzbekistan.

Its other wholly-owned subsidiary, Serba Dinamik Sdn Bhd, has secured two operations and maintenance (O&M) contracts from Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd.

Serba Dinamik said the O&M contracts have no specific value as the contracts are on a 'call-out' basis whereby the work orders will be awarded at the discretion of the clients based on its activities schedules and rates throughout the duration of the contracts.

Group managing director/group chief executive director Datuk Mohd Abdul Karim Abdullah said the new EPCC contract in Uzbekistan will further strengthen the company's foothold in that region.

“The duration of the contract will last until 2021 with total value of RM1.05 billion. Having said that, we foresee this will contribute positively to our financial year ending December 2019 and the upcoming two years,” he said in a statement.

Analysts said Serba Dinamik’s earnings visibility continues to improve on the back of its strong order book growth.

The company, according to analysts, appears to be on track to meet its order book target of RM10 billion this year.
