Econpile bags RM44m job at Tropicana Gardens development

KUALA LUMPUR: Piling and foundation specialist, Econpile Holdings Bhd bagged a RM44 million contract for the Tropicana Gardens mixed development in Kota Damansara, Selangor.

In a statement today, Econpile executive director and group chief executive officer Raymond Pang said, with the latest additional project, the company’s orderbook amounted to RM850 million, providing earnings visibility for the next two years.

“With this win, Econpile secured RM72.7 million worth of contracts in the financial year-to-date,” he said.

The Tropicana Gardens mixed development will comprise a 42-storey commercial block housing 630 units of serviced apartments and 397 small offices and flexible office units, while the commercial block will be built on an 11-storey podium which consists of a two-storey business space, an eight-storey car park and a level for lobby and facilities.

“The latest award in property development projects, especially in a tough economic landscape, highlights our competitive edge in this sector,”

“We will continue to secure challenging contracts that require our specialist expertise in deep foundation works to support high-rise buildings,” he said.

Pang said the 16-month contract is expected to contribute positively to the group’s earnings in the next two years.
