PUCHONG: Vivo Technologies Sdn Bhd (Vivo Malaysia) is confident of securing over 20 per cent market share in the local smartphone category with the launch of Vivo S1 Pro.
Vivo Malaysia chief executive officer Mike Xu said it had targeted 1.8 million units of smartphones sales this year.
“We command about 17 per cent market share in the local smartphone category during the third-quarter of 2019. As of November 2019, we sold around 1.7 million units of smartphones in Malaysia,” he told the New Straits Times in an interview today.
Vivo Malaysia expects the S1 Pro to appeal to younger consumers as the smartphone comes with a diamond design inspired by images of jewellery and royal palaces.
“We hope the S1 Pro can be the best-selling smartphone in Malaysia within the RM1,000 to RM1,500 price range,” he added.
Vivo Malaysia product specialist Raymond Lee said S1 Pro combines industry-leading features to deliver high quality and yet stunning smartphone design for consumers, especially the youth.
“S1 Pro is a true example of how we design industry-leading smartphone experiences to fit the needs of our young consumers in Malaysia,” he said.
The S1 Pro is equipped with a 32-megapixel front camera that features AI Face Beauty, allowing users to enhance their facial features, bringing more joy and fun to photography.
Additionally, its main 48-megapixel AI quad camera is supported by wide-angle, macro and bokeh lenses to capture better clarity photo.
The S1 Pro expands user’s viewing angle to 120-degree with the 8MP super wide-angle that helps to broaden photography horizon.
It also comes with Pose Master that adjust user’s angle and guide the subject to pose for better pictures.
S1 Pro comes with the 6.38-inch super AMOLED display with a screen-to-body ratio of 90 per cent, the smartphone provides borderless full views for ultimate mobile experience.
The S1 Pro is also equipped with multi-turbo feature which increases its performing speed level, ensuring enjoyable exhilarating game performance.
The smartphone also comes with ‘voice changer’ that brings more fun into game time with a variety of voices while protecting user’s privacy.
It also houses a 4500mAh battery with dual-engine fast charging technology for higher durability and faster charging capability to enhance mobile experience.
Safety wise, S1 Pro capable to safely unlock with the in-display fingerprint scanning technology and comes with a variety of animation effects to make phone unlocking easy and fun.
With two colour options - Knight Black and Fancy Sky, the S1 Pro is priced at RM1,199 and available for sale beginning December 7.
