Two CIMB staff positive for Covid-19

KUALA LUMPUR: Two CIMB Group Holdings Bhd employees, based at its Jalan Dato’ Bandar Tunggal branch in Seremban, have tested positive for Covid-19.

CIMB said both employees had recently returned from a personal trip to Indonesia and had been in home quarantine since March 19 upon returning.

“The staff are currently being treated at a government hospital.

“As a precaution, a thorough sanitisation and deep cleaning of the branch is being carried out. All those in direct contact with the affected employees have also been placed under home quarantine until given the appropriate medical clearance,” the banking group said in a statement today.

CIMB added that contact tracing to identify all others with direct contact with the employees, was being conducted.

“The branch will be closed temporarily to facilitate the above. CIMB encourages customers to use our online services but should customers need to visit a branch they are advised to proceed to the nearest branch located at Seremban 2 and Senawang,” it added.
