TH announces two key appointments

KUALA LUMPUR: Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH) today announced the appointment Rozita Khamsiah as its secretary, effective from March 9, and Ahmad Shahriman Johari as its public affairs and corporate communications general manager, from April 1.

TH said Rozita has an extensive experience as an internal legal advisor and is a licensed company secretary from various of industries, including the government’s financial institution, construction and property development.

Prior to joining TH, she served as Medini Iskandar Malaysia Sdn Bhd senior vice president in charge of legal aspects, including leading and monitoring the delivery of legal advisory services.

She also served Malaysia Debt Ventures Bhd, KUB Malaysia Bhd and Maju Group Holdings.

Meanwhile, TH said prior to joining the pilgrimage fund, Ahmad Shahriman was the head of corporate communications at Sime Darby Property Bhd, in charge of managing the company’s public relations and communications affairs.

He has an extensive experience in media relations and had held the position of senior editor at the New Straits Times.

TH group managing director and chief executive offcier Datuk Nik Mohd Hasyudeen Yusof said the appointments were to strengthen the group’s professional leadership.

“TH welcomes this appointment in its quest to become a respected Islamic institutions for its achievements and good governance,” he said.
