DNeX launches new promotional packages targeting SMEs

KUALA LUMPUR: Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) can now leverage on Dagang NeXchange Bhd's (DNeX) new promotional packages to adopt digitalisation in their trade processes.

Effective January 1 next year, the packages are aimed at helping SMEs stay competitive and sustainable amidst challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Until June 30 next year, new customers can benefit from a waiver of registration fee worth up to RM500 for all services provided by DNeX's wholly-owned Dagang Net Technologies Sdn Bhd.

Existing customers namely customers of declaration and manifest services can benefit from a waiver of mailbox fee for three months, and worth RM270 per mailbox beginning January 2021.

ePermit users on the other hand can opt for the eValue Plan, allowing customers to waive existing RM200 annual subscription fee.

Under the plan, customers are charged only a flat fee of RM8 comprising RM5 approved permit fee and RM3 administration fee for each transaction.

"The Covid-19 pandemic has prompted SMEs to urgently review their strategies with digitalisation being a critical component to compete and save costs.

"The SME sector contributes a significant component to Malaysia's gross domestic product (GDP) and hence requires due support to ensure their business sustainability," said DNeX group managing director Datuk Seri Syed Zainal Abidin Syed Mohamed Tahir.

He said the promotional packages were the company's efforts to increase digitalisation among SMEs, which unfortunately have been adversely impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic.

"DNeX is well positioned as the digital trade facilitation partner for businesses including SMEs and government agencies towards improvements and efficiency in trade processes as well as ease of doing business in the country.

"We hope that the promotional packages can bring about some relief in terms of cost savings and cost optimisation of affected businesses," he added.

DNeX had also recently introduced new enhancements and features to its trade facilitation suite of eServices including reporting and analytics, and back-end integration for ALDEC, a powerful all-encompassing eService for preparation and submission of various electronic declarations of trade documentation to different authorities.

The company has enhanced the risk analysis, and evaluation and data reusability features of its pre-alert manifest service for cargo clearance via air mode called ePAM.

Moreover, a new module - Dagangan Transit - has been introduced to its ePermit eService which allows online declaration for agricultural products.

These enhanced and new features can further help customers save time and cost, and increase efficiency in their trade processes.
