KUALA LUMPUR: Bosch today announced the appointment of Klaus Landhaeusser as the new managing director of its businesses in Malaysia.
In a statement, Bosch said an automotive engineer by profession, Landhaeusser had amassed over 20 years of automotive sales, marketing, government relations and leadership experience at Bosch.
Landhaeusser said he was confident that Bosch would remain committed in the Malaysian market, continue making a difference to the local community.
"Malaysia is not new to me as I was stationed here for about three and a half years, heading the local sales of original equipment.
"It feels great to be back with a greater responsibility where I can continue to build on the strong network and foundation that Bosch has long established in this country and hopefully take the business to new heights," said Landhaeusser.
He said the Malaysian government had intensified Industry 4.0 initiatives, which were in line with Bosch's strength.
"Be it sensors, software or services, Bosch possesses all the key competencies to shape the country's Industry 4.0.
"We have been collaborating with the government and local partners through national technical and vocational education and training initiatives to upskill the workforce, driving Industry 4.0 as well as digital transformation.
"I intend to continue these meaningful collaborations with industry partners, supporting the country to stay competitive," he added.
Landhaeusser also plans to expand Bosch Malaysia's services and solutions portfolio.
"One example is our building technology solutions. For many years, Bosch has been offering intelligent security cameras with video analytics.
"To address the current pressing needs due to the pandemic, the same solution is configured for crowd management with thermal detection and even integrated with third-party systems to enable distance meetings and video conferencing," he said.
Besides the Malaysian business, Landhaeusser continues to helm the automotive sales of original equipment in Southeast Asia as a regional director.
