KUALA LUMPUR: Advancecon Holdings Bhd's subsidiary, Advancecon Infra Sdn Bhd, secured a RM23.5 million contract from Messrs Sime Darby Property (Bukit Raja) Sdn Bhd.

In a statement today, the earthworks and civil engineering specialist said the contract involved earthworks and other related works for the stages R10C, R10D and R10E of Phase 1 in Bandar Bukit Raja 2 township.

The 14-month contract will be from site possession on December 6, 2021 and contribute positively to the company until the financial years ending December 31, 2023.

With the new contract, Advancecon's year-to-date wins stand at RM289.4 million and expand its order book to RM761.3 million, which includes earthworks and civil engineering services for projects such as the East Coast Rail Link, West Coast Expressway, as well as road and commercial projects in Sarawak.

Group chief executive officer Datuk Phum Ang Kia said the latest contract is the company's fifth for the township development.

"Our strong understanding of the area's site conditions enables us to execute our earthworks and other related services efficiently.

"Currently, we are undertaking earthworks for the previously awarded stages R1A1, R1A2 and R1B at phase 2.

"With stage R2 at phase 2 completed in October 2021, we are able to promptly expedite works by moving our existing machineries and resources to stages R10C, R10D and R10E at Phase 1," he said.

Apart from Bandar Bukit Raja 2, Advancecon is also supporting Sime Darby Property's Serenia City development project in Sepang, Selangor and SME Business Park development in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan.
