Batik Air to start direct flight to Melbourne in December

KUALA LUMPUR: Batik Air has launched a direct A330 flight from here to Melbourne on Dec 20. 

The seasonal flight schedule, available up to Feb 6 next year caters to the rising demand for travel to Australia during the peak holiday and travel season.  

This service will be utilising the latest Batik Air modern wide body A330 fleet, ensuring an exceptional travel experience for passengers. 

Batik Air group strategic director Datuk Chandran Rama Muthy said the airline is thrilled to introduce this wide-body direct flight to Melbourne, which is a testament to our commitment to meeting our passengers' needs. 

"Melbourne stands as a top-tier vacation destination and we have recognised the increasing demand for direct connectivity to Australia especially during the peak holidays and travel season. 

"This move is part of the efforts by Batik Air to improve the offerings for the Melbourne market," he said in a statement today. 

He invited travellers to grab the low introductory fares and experience the friendly service of flying with Batik Air on the A330 aircraft. 

Batik Air is offering special promotional fares starting from RM899.

The sales period commences immediately up to Dec 10 for travel from Dec 20 to Dec 30. 

Batik Air also offers a selection of pre-purchased meals and additional baggage allowance at discounted rates.  

Batik Air also provides direct flights connecting Kuala Lumpur to Adelaide and Perth.  

Moreover, Batik Air serves Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth via Denpasar. 

The airline also operates to Auckland via Perth.
