Malakoff's amazing hunt champions environmental awareness

KUALA LUMPUR: Malakoff Corporation Bhd recently organised a treasure hunt dor its staff and stakeholders to champion recycling and foster environmental awareness.

The "Malakoff Amazing Hunt 2023," held on Dec 20, brought a total of 100 participants, which was organised into 25 teams of four individuals each to join a hunt challenge from Kuala Lumpur up to Putrajaya.

The event saw a diverse mix of participants, including representatives from the media, stakeholders of Malakoff and its subsidiary Alam Flora Sdn Bhd.

Participants were engaged in a variety of activities, including in-car quizzes, treasure hunt questions at checkpoints, and recycling tasks at the Fasiliti Inovasi Kitar Semula (FIKS) waste recycling centers strategically located along the route. 

Teams had to complete four sets of tasks labelled Sets A, B, C and D, and submit them at the finish line at FIKS by the 12.30pm deadline or face penalties.

These challenges were not only entertaining but also designed to emphasise the significance of recycling in the broader context of environmental sustainability.

As the day unfolded, the hunt reached its pinnacle at Sunset Glashaus, Marina Putrajaya, with top winners emerging in both the media and open categories.

In the media category, Team MY Jejak Rasa, comprising bloggers, emerged as the champions, securing the top spot with an impressive score of 112 points. 

Not far behind, Team Baby G from the New Straits Times and Bernama media group secured second place with 110 points, while Team SBR Starz from Berita Radio RTM secured the third spot with 107 points.

In the open category, Team Jejaka Suci from the Ministry of Energy Transition and Public Utilities claimed victory with a score of 118 points. 

The competition remained fierce, with The Freaky Finders from DBKL securing the second position with 113 points, closely followed by Energy Adventure Team in third place with 111 points.
