'The Music Run by CIMB' makes a return

KUALA LUMPUR: Fitness enthusiasts and music lovers came together as The Music Run by CIMB made its much-awaited third edition return to Malaysia, with CIMB Group Bhd serving as the presenting partner once more.

CIMB is thrilled to be back as the presenting partner of The Music Run by CIMB, according to its chief brand and marketing officer Toni Darusman.

"The Music Run by CIMB not only provides a one-of-a-kind experience, but we are also offsetting the carbon footprint generated, which will be monitored and tracked throughout the event by our partner, YTL-SV Carbon. 

"This unique and immersive event is therefore an all-encompassing ode to life, music, and well-being, and we hope that all participants will continue taking small but consistent steps towards a more sustainable way of life," said Toni.

The event saw an impressive turnout of over 17,000 participants hailing from all walks of life to "Live the Beat" for a 5-kilometer fun run along the "Sound Track" run course.

Dubbed "Asia's Fittest Party," the event extended well beyond the run itself, as the evening culminated with a musical celebration led by DJ Sam Withers and the team, who returned to perform with other renowned musical acts including BLINK, The Filters, and EMO NIGHT KL. 

Adding to the ultimate celebration of fitness and music, the one-of-a-kind, safe, alcohol-free, and healthy experience is also committed to being environmentally friendly with its 'More Fun, Less Waste' ethos.

The Music Run has steadily gained popularity since its inception in Malaysia in 2014. It has brought together people from all walks of life, irrespective of background or fitness level, with a mission to inspire people to "Live the Beat" and lead more active lifestyles. 

To date, it has been experienced by over 300,000 participants across 40 events in 13 countries.
