Battered small caps Rapid Synergy, YNH Property among top gainers at midday break

KUALA LUMPUR: Battered small capitalisation stocks Rapid Synergy and YNH Property Bhd staged a rebound today, emerging among the top gainers in morning trade.

Rapid Synergy Bhd and YNH Property Bhd share value increased 34 sen and 22 sen respectively in morning trade.

Rapid Synergy saw the second most gains in the stock market closing at RM2.29 a share at midday break.

While YNH Property ranked fourth, at 77.5 sen a share.

They were two of the most actively traded counters. Some 96.3 million Rapid Synergy shares changed hands, while 168.5 million YNH Property's shares changed hands.

Three other stocks continued on an uptrend after staging a rebound yesterday, namely Jentayu Sustainables Bhd, Imaspro Corp Bhd and Sarawak Consolidated Industries Bhd (SCIB).

Jenatyu was up 26 sen to 80.5 sen a share, while Imaspro Corp was up 16 sen to RM1.55 a share.

SCIB's share price was up 11.49 per cent or 5 sen to 48.5 sen.

Rapid Synergy in a filing with Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd yesterday said a sale and purchase agreement to dispose of land in Kuala Lumpur for RM39 million is due to be concluded today and completed by the first quarter of 2024.
