Kitacon bags RM65.4mil job to build double-storey terrace houses in Dengkil, Selangor

KUALA LUMPUR: Construction services provider, Kumpulan Kitacon Bhd's has bagged a contract worth RM65.4 million to build double-storey terrace houses in Dengkil, Selangor.

The company said its wholly owned subsidiary, Kitacon Sdn Bhd has accepted a letter of award from Worldwide Holdings Bhd to construct 182 units of double-storey terrace houses and one electrical substation.

Kitacon managing director Tan Ah Kee said the award marks its third contract for this year, bringing Kitacon's year-to-date contract wins to RM111.0 million.

"Accordingly, our outstanding order book has now increased to RM1.18 billion," he said.

Meanwhile, Tan said Kitacon has secured RM1.04 billion worth of contracts in 2023 itself, and therefore the company is cautiously optimistic that it will be able to maintain its momentum going forward. "We will strive to secure more contracts in this coming year, to enhance our business sustainability and financial visibility," he added.

The construction works are expected to commence on Feb 19, 2024 for a duration of 18 months. Ends
