Heitech Padu shares jointly owned with Sultan Muhammad V, says Farhash Wafa

KUALA LUMPUR: Farhash Wafa Salvador Rizal Mubarak has clarified that the shares he holds in HeiTech Padu Bhd through Rosetta Partners Sdn Bhd are jointly owned with Sultan Muhammad V.

He said this in response to several articles on news portals regarding the ownership of HeiTech Padu that had recently gone viral on social media.

He said the statement was to refute and address accusations against him, especially those thrown by the Pasir Mas Member of Parliament (MP).

"For the record, Rosetta Partners is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Mfivesouthsea Sdn Bhd, which is jointly owned by Sultan Muhammad V and myself, rather than solely owned by me as claimed by certain opposition MP.

"This shareholding is also part of an investment strategy between Sultan Muhammad V and myself to assist Bumiputera companies," he said.

Farhash also said he has never been involved in any government administration or political activities.

He noted that his full focus at the moment is on business and corporate matters.

Last week, Farhash emerged as Heitech Padu's substantial shareholder after acquiring an indirect interest of 15.9 per cent (16.1 million shares).

Farhash also holds key position as the chairman and director of several companies including 7-Eleven Malaysia Holdings Bhd and Apex Equity Holdings Bhd.
