MAHB says Subang Airport will manage 8mil passengers per annum by 2030

SUBANG: Malaysian Airports Holding Bhd (MAHB) today said that Subang Airport will manage 8 million passengers per annum by 2030 under the Subang Airport Regeneration Plan (SARP), which will bring jet operations back to the airport.

In the interim phase however Subang Airport will boost the capacity of the current terminal to manage 3 million passengers per annum.

Two jets will be operational at Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport (LTSAAS)by the end of March 2024.

It currently handles 1.5 million passengers per annum.

Under phase one Subang Airport will manage 5.0 million passengers and by 2030, in phase 2, it will increase to 8.0 million passengers per annum.

The SARP is intended to maximise the economic value of LTSAAS and its surrounding area through various development strategies.

The upgrade and expansion of LTSAAS will transform it into a comprehensive new green city airport terminal designed for scheduled jet operations.

MAHB said this development will stimulate commercial growth and enhance the existing rail operations.
