Maggi to distribute over 200,000 bowls of "bubur lambuk" across more than 280 locations

KUALA LUMPUR: Maggi Malaysia has continued its tradition of donating "bubur lambuk" to communities during Ramadan.

Maggi plans to distribute more than 200,000 bowls of "bubur lambuk" across more than 280 locations nationwide.

Additionally, the brand is partnering with community cooks to empower them to reach many more Malaysians by offering Maggi products and ingredients to serve "bubur lambuk" in Program Perumahan Rakyat (PPR) flats nationwide, orphanages and similar community centres.

To mark the commencement of the "bubur lambuk" distribution, Maggi hosted an official launch together with the Desa Rejang PPR Residents chairman and chefs.

Maggi business executive officer Ivy Tan Link Cheh said the company distributes "bubur lambuk" to support thousands of Malaysians and celebrating the community cooks whose tireless service already makes a positive difference in their respective PPR areas and beyond.

"Their dedication inspires us at Maggi to amplify the good they bring to their communities. This reinforces our mission to foster togetherness among all Malaysians by supporting community cooks — with our appreciation and the sharing of stories that celebrate the true 'Jiwa Ramadan'," said Tan.

The initiative is part of Maggi's overarching campaign to celebrate the "Jiwa Ramadan dan Raya" - the cooks who wholeheartedly prepare nourishing meals for the breaking of fast during Ramadan, as well as joyous Aidilfitri gatherings.

Through a series of inspiring videos, Maggi honours and appreciates the unsung heroes behind every meal, celebrating their diverse stories.

"With the festivities approaching, we are reminded of the unsung heroes behind every feast—the cooks. There is one in every family and community, you know them when you savour their dishes because every bite is a reflection of the joy they derive from serving their family and community.

"At Maggi, we want to honour them and recognise their devotion by telling their stories and supporting their efforts to create good food moments and passing down their family's favourite recipes," said Tan.
