Aston Martin DB11 V8 variant roars into Malaysia

ASTON MARTIN KL has introduced the twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 engine version of the DB11 here with a starting price of RM1.8 million after duties and Goods and Services Tax.

“We are thrilled to officially unveil the V8-powered DB11 in Kuala Lumpur. We expect sustained interest and continuing growth in demand for the DB11, spearheaded by the arrival of the V8-powered model,” said Aston Martin Southeast Asia head of sales operations Nancy Chen.

The V8-powered DB11 is to complement its existing 5.2-litre twin-turbocharged V12 engine variant. It features fresh and distinctive design, pioneering aerodynamics and the potency of a propelling V8 engine.

Mated to a 8-speed automatic transmission, it is capable of producing 510hp at 6,000rpm and 675Nm of torque from 5,000rpm.

Aston Martin claims that the V8-powered DB11 can complete the century sprint in 4.0 seconds and the top speed at 301kph.

Standard features include 20-inch 10 spokes wheels, deployable spoiler with Aston Martin Aeroblade system, one piece clamshell bonnet, curlicue aero feature in front wing, LED automatic headlights, LED taillights, 8-inch infotainment system with capacitive switching and rotary control, auto dimming rear view mirror, powerfold heated side mirrors, dual-zone climate control, leather upholstery, electrically adjustable front seats with memory and heated functions, cruise control, digital instrument cluster, and tyre pressure monitoring system.

As for the safety aspects of the vehicle, it is equipped with 12 airbags, front and rear parking sensors, 360 degree birds eye camera, anti-lock braking system, adaptive damping system, dynamic stability control, electronic brakeforce distribution, electronic parking brake, emergency brake assist, hydraulic brake assist, positive torque control, torque vectoring by braking and traction control.

At the event, the company announced the new Aston Martin Service Centre by Wearnes Quest in Malaysia. The estimated RM2.4 million service centre is located at Lingui Industrial Park, Sungai Buloh, Selangor. The fully air-conditioned 4,000sqft service centre has 3 work-bays and 1 diagnostic bay.
