First BMW i3s delivered in conjunction with launch of charging facility at Hotel G Kelawai

PULAU PINANG: The largest authorised dealership group representing BMW in Malaysia, Auto Bavaria has delivered the first unit of its fully electric model BMW i3s to its first customer. A ceremony was held for the handover as well as to launch the latest BMW i Charging Facility at Hotel G Kelawai Penang.

"We are extremely excited to deliver our first BMW i3s to Mr Lim Chau Wei," said Wong Loke Win, the dealer principal of Auto Bavaria Penang.

Wong added with Auto Bavaria's current sales and after sales capabilities for the BMW i, customers in Malaysia can be assured with excellent day-to-day support for their electric vehicle.

Support for BMW i customers include vehicle servicing and maintenance. The company also is planning an expansion for BMW i charging facilities in the country.

The dealership group plans to introduce four new BMW i Charging Stations by the end of this year for the convenience of its customers.

The Auto Bavaria BMW i Charging Facility at Hotel G Kelawai Penang has two charging stations which employ the brand's newest brand identity and features.

Located at level B1 of the hotel, the 256 square feet facility is ready to provide on-the-go charging of BMW i pure electric vehicle or BMW i Performance plug-in hybrid vehicle.

Wong noted, "Sustainable mobility thrives where there is an effective combination of three factors: customer demand, facilities and innovative partnerships.

“Our collaboration with Hotel G Kelawai Penang is our third BMW i charging facility in the northern region after Hotel St. Giles and Queensbay Mall; and we are optimistic with the future of BMW i brand in Malaysia."
