KUALA LUMPUR: Volvo Car Malaysia has launched a new showroom in Ipoh over the weekend with the goal to expand the brand and provide better service for their customers in Perak.
Open Mondays to Saturdays from 9am to 6pm, the new 3S Centre (Sales, Service, and Spare Parts) is said to feature a Scandinavian-inspired showroom that houses the brand’s latest models and a fully equipped service centre with a total of four repair bays.
The models on sale are the Volvo XC60, Volvo S90 and Volvo XC40, as well as the refreshed Volvo XC90 and the new Volvo S60.
“We are extremely glad for this opportunity and are looking forward to expanding our services and providing quality experiences throughout our customers ownership journey,” said Volvo Car Malaysia managing director, Nalin Jain.
Run by its dealer-partner, iRoll Ipoh Sdn Bhd, the showroom is located at Lot No. 2917S, Jalan Raja Permaisuri Bainun (Jalan Kampar) near the Sultan Azlan Shah Airport, as well as the Ipoh City & Country Club.
“We are proud that Volvo Car Malaysia has chosen to partner with us in Ipoh and together, we intend to cater to the ever-growing customer demand for Volvo’s exciting line of products and services,” said iRoll Ipoh managing director, Tan Loon Shen.
A total of 250 customers visited the showroom over the weekend since its launch on Friday last week.
The new 3S Centre is said to adhere to Volvo Cars’ latest retail standard, called Volvo Retail Experience (VRE).
"VRE was created to focus the brand cornerstones more fully and serve customers in four main areas - the Contemporary Luxury Experience, Understanding, Interaction and Wellbeing – all of which best communicate the brand’s Scandinavian-inspired values," according to a statement by the company.
Volvo Car Malaysia reported a surge in sales volume, thanks to the company's transformation plan which resulted in a stronger retail presence.
The report states a 60 per cent growth in sales in H1 of 2019 - after a 28 per cent for growth last year.
