Dell rolls out new Inspiron, XPS line-up powered by Intel's 8th-gen CPU

KUALA LUMPUR: Dell announced Wednesday its new Inspiron and XPS line-up incorporating Intel’s latest 8th Generation Core processors at the launch of its revamped Dell Exclusive Store in Low Yat Plaza.

Designed for the mobile multi-tasker, the new Inspiron 13 7000 2-in-1 offers stunning visuals and powerful performance with its 13.3-inch Full HD IPS touch display with a supporting active pen for digital drawing, writing and note-taking.

The laptop-tablet hybrid features SmartByte technology for enhanced online streaming and interactive video, coupled with Waves MaxxAudio Pro which automatically tunes audio with clearer highs, enhanced bass and increased volume.

Customers can opt for either the Intel Core i5-8250U processor or an Intel Core i7-8550U processor, which is coupled with 8GB of system memory and 256GB of SSD storage.

For those who prefer a more traditional laptop, the new Inspiron 15 7000 offers an additional Ultra HD option that covers 100 per cent AdobeRGB.

Boasting a larger 15.6-inch Full HD IPS display, this model however is not touch sensitive.

This model also has two variants for customers to choose from. The first variant powered by Intel Core i5-8250U processor with 4GB of RAM and dual drives of 128GB SSD + 1TB HDD storage.

The other one is powered by Intel Core i7-8550U processor with 8GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD + 1TB HDD storage combo.

Both versions come with a NVIDIA GeForce 940 MX graphics with up to 4GB GDDR5 memory. Besides the two new laptops, Dell also updated their Inspiron 13 5000 2-in-1 and XPS 13 with the 8th Generation Intel Core processors.

The starting price for the new Inspiron 13 7000 2-in-1 is RM5,449, the Inspiron 15 7000 is from RM4,449, and the Inspiron 13 5000 2-in-1 from RM3,599. The updated XPS 13 will only be available in October.
