At RM999, honor 7x promises slew of features on a budget

KUALA LUMPUR: Honor Malaysia is releasing a new product under its budget smartphone segment with the honor 7X.

Succeeding the honor 6X, the new honor 7X is the first one to feature a 5.93-inch edge-to-edge FullView Display with an extraordinary 18:9 screen-to-body ratio.

The body is made of metal with matte finish. A 2.5D curved glass display on the front blends in perfectly with the rounded edges of the phone.

The honor 7X is powered by a Kirin 659 Octa-Core processor and runs on EMUI 5.1 which is based on the Android 7.0 Nougat.

For imaging, the phone boasts a dual camera set up at the back (16MP + 2MP) while the front gets an 8MP selfie camera. User can ditch the selfie stick as a special new feature, a gesture-controlled shutter, will trigger a countdown to a selfie by simply turning your palm to the camera.

To make the most out of the large screen, there’s also a One-key Split Screen function to make multi-tasking from emails and WhatsApp to Netflix and YouTube easier.

The honor 7X is equipped with a large 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage that’s expandable up to 256GB with a microSD card. The company claims the 3,340mAh battery can last for more than a full day on a single charge.

At the launch today, honor also introduced singer and rapper, SonaOne as its first local brand representative for the honor 7X.

For a limited time only, the honor 7X will be available for purchase through an online flash sale for RM999 via vMall and Lazada on Dec 18 from 3pm to 4pm, and will be made available nationwide beginning Dec 22 at a competitive price of RM1,099.
