KUALA LUMPUR: Canon Marketing (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd has launched three new products – mirrorless camera EOS M50, EOS1500D and EOS3000D DSLR cameras – and a Speedlite 470EX-AI flash.
The EOS M50 is the company’s first mirrorless camera to come with 4K ultra-high definition video capability. Combined with the latest DIGIC 8 image processor and the 24.1-megapixel APS-C sized Dual Pixel CMOS AF sensor, the camera gives users the latest technology in capturing beautiful images even in dimly-lit settings – all in a light-weight, compact body, a must have for vloggers.
Speaking at the launch, Jeffrey Kung, Head of Consumer Imaging and Information Division said that Canon realises consumers are looking for simpler and more convenient photography.
"Our three new cameras are lightweight and packed with a host of advanced but user friendly features that create high quality images. And, with the increasing popularity of online video content, EOS M50 with its powerful video shooting ability is ideal for vloggers, YouTubers and anyone who love sharing content.
The EOS 1500D and EOS 3000D on the other hand are DSLRs with great value for money, excellent choices for students or new DSLR user," said Kung.
Both cameras are powered with DIGIC 4+ image processor with an ISO from 100 and up to 6400 and expandable to 12800, combined with a full HD movie shooting function, these cameras allow for clear images and videos.
The Features Guide available on both cameras offers assistance to users on techniques in taking pictures using different Scene Modes including portrait, landscape, night and food. This will allow users express creativity by optimising shooting setting.
Apart from Wi-Fi and NFC connectivity, the EOS 1500D and EOS 3000D also offer Live Remote Shooting via Canon Camera Connect App for setting change, zoom in and focus adjustment remotely.
Meanwhile, the Speedlite 470EX-AI is a revolutionary step in flash photography. The flash uses auto-intelligent (AI) bounce technology where the motors and sensors automate the adjusting, configuration and tweaking for optimum angle and perfect light.
All the new members of the EOS family are available at all Canon retailers, dealers and also on Lazada. The EOS M50 is available from RM2,799 while EOS 1500D is on the market at RM2,349 and EOS 3000D is selling at RM1,799. Speedlite 470EX-AI, however, will only be available in May.
