KUALA LUMPUR: TNG Digital today announced a partnership with Ar-Rahah Mosque in Kampung Kerinchi to innovate donations and contributions--through Touch ‘nGo eWallet where anyone who wishes to make contributions to the mosque can now do so with just their smartphone.

“We need to be open to accepting technology as one means of improvement and through this programme we are fostering a more balanced future,” said Ustaz Khairul Hafiz, Head of Administration and Imam Lead of ar-Rahah Mosque.

The partnership between Ar-Rahah Mosque and TNG Digital, known as 7 Tangkai, also include four other community related programmes such as 13 Rukun Solat, a special class for youths that focuses on perfecting prayers; De Hearty a programme with activities such as aerobics, ‘gotong-royong’ and treasure hunt; entrepreneurship programmes using technology within the framework of Islamic law, and CSR based initiatives especially on education, all part of the plan and to be conducted in the first 12 months of the collaboration.

The QR-enablement of Ar-Rahah sets the stage for other mosques in the country to adopt technology in its daily operations and collections.
