KidZania Kuala Lumpur and TNG Digital Sdn Bhd launch eWallet

PETALING JAYA: In line with the national agenda to accelerate the nation’s migration to electronic payments, KidZania Kuala Lumpur announced its partnership with TNG Digital Sdn Bhd, the newest members of its circle of forward thinking industry partners, to educate kids about the cashless economy.

Syahrunizam Samsudin, Chief Executive Officer of TNG Digital Sdn Bhd said, “We want to cultivate cashless behaviours from an early age. This partnership gives us the opportunity to educate and nurture habits that will advocate for a cashless society.

The partnership will spearhead the adoption of cashless mobile payment with the Touch ‘n Go KidZania eWallet app to be applied as part of the payment system at KidZania Kuala Lumpur. The app, is the first of its kind among the KidZania franchise where it accepts kidzos, the KidZania currency, as part of its transaction and to be accessed in the award-winning edutainment centre.

“The partnership will further reinforce KidZania’s ‘Learn Life Today’ motto where here, children inculcate life skills through role playing and with the Touch ‘n Go KidZania eWallet, these children will be exposed to real finance experience—ability to spending their hard-earned kidzos via mobile application or just by tapping at contactless payment terminals in establishments in the City,” said Shahrul Nizar Ahmad, General Manager of KidZania Kuala Lumpur.

Shahrul added, with cashless payment, the app will also allow kids to check their balances online which would make them start thinking about saving and be more financial-savvy.
