#TECH: Enhance your photos like a professional with the help of artificial intelligence

BEFORE digital cameras, creating a dreamy effect for that ordinary holiday photograph was usually the work of a skilled graphics artist.

With advancements in graphics technology and artificial intelligence (AI), adding phenomenal effects to existing photos is just a tap away on your phone.

Adobe recently launched its latest photo app called Photoshop Camera and with it, users can now transform their photos into works of art.

Via the intelligent camera app, users are presented with a number of Insta-worthy lenses and filters inspired by top artists and influencers.

The best thing about this free app is that users do not need any Photoshop skills to produce the effects.

Photoshop Camera is packed with AI-powered features to help users take great selfies and amazing food and scenery shots.

The lens suitability will depend on the photos you choose to enhance. For example, if you want to enhance a scenery photo, you can't use the portrait lens.

Using lenses like Cosmos and Celestial will do the magic as they will turn ordinary landscape photos into dreamy and out-of-this-world shots.

There is also a quick fix feature using auto-tone and portrait control to create high-quality photos with a simple tap or swipe of your finger.

You can control bokeh, face distance, face light and face relighting. For instance, the Face Light feature in Photoshop Camera optimises lighting, eliminating the appearance of any sharp shadows.

For group selfies, Photoshop Camera recognises where each subject is positioned so there's no distortion.

The Bokeh feature, as expected, makes it easy to quickly apply blur effects.

Lenses like Portrait and Studio Light will enhance portrait photos, making them seem like they were shot in a studio.

If you like comic-style effects, there are filters like Pop Art, Spectrum and Billie Eilish Blosh Properties that will give you vibrant and funky effects.

Below are five works of art made with the Photoshop Camera app.
