#TECH: Maxis launches store in metaverse

KUALA LUMPUR: In line with Maxis' Rangkaian Kita Rangkaian Malaysia (RKRM) campaign, Maxis revealed Malaysia's first Virtual Telco Store in Metaverse, Maxis Centre Decentraland.

While in its preliminary stages, Maxis in metaverse aims to provide destinations for an immersive experience with engaging, relevant, and rewarding interactions.

It also served as a connected retail experience to benefit customers with specific offerings.

Maxis chief sales and service officer, Patrick Er said the metaverse mirrors their brand purpose and What's Possible core values.

"It expands minds to the possibilities of what we can do in the digital future to continue serving our customers in the best possible way. This is just the beginning of an exciting digital journey and we look forward to more to come on this platform, so keep watching this space," he said.

The platform allows Maxis to provide a glimpse of what the future may look like from various perspectives - from essential services, customer engagement, enterprise solutions showcase, gaming, attracting talent, immersive education, and building an ecosystem of partnerships with multi-industry verticals.

Users can shop Maxis' products and services with the 3D technology, vie and discover how they can transform their homes with Maxis' home devices powered by Maxis Fibre, and purchase collectible NFTs via Malaysian artists.

There is also a Hotlink wall and #BikinSampaiJadi for customers to enjoy as well as have access to digital care via QR.
