Bata Malaysia, a household name in shoes since it came to Malaya in 1935, has new designs for dressing up and looking good during the festive season.

Bata Primavera Sdn Bhd chief collection manager Esther Koh said as Bata is often synonymous with basic and comfortable shoes, the company is combining modern luxury with practicality this year.

Koh said, to further drive this Hari Raya campaign, Bata has teamed up with Amyra Rosli and Amar Baharin as their campaign ambassadors.

The celebrity couple, who have a massive fan base and following, also portray the perfect family image now that they are blessed with a cute son.

Koh said they were chosen based on their positive and clean image as well as successful careers.

“When it comes to the collection, our development team has designed fashionable shoes with adornment, contemporary trendy shoes as well as classic looks for your festive needs,” she said.

“This year, we are playing around with detailings and customers can choose their favourite shoes that comes in many colours,” she said.

Koh hopes customers will find one that suits their fancy whether it is for visiting relatives’ homes, to attending various functions and open houses during this joyous period.

For the first collection, ladies will be impressed with suede material shoes with diamond gemstones.

“The gemstones are arranged neatly on top of the vamp for additional bling. It comes in a selection of mini wedge pumps and strappy stilettos,” she said.

Koh said customers can pick earthy-toned shoes in dusty pink, green, blue and black shades to complete their outfit of the day.

This stylish collection also embraces minimalism in the design of the shoe, with just glimpse of glitter of dotted stones studs. It comes with netting and is made of PU leather material.

The second collection is the floral jacquard collection featuring a floral motif two-tone print as well as oversized and knot detailing.

Koh said shoes from this collection comes with block heels and flats.

The third collection features easy-to-wear metallic platform heels.

“Customers can show-off their perfectly pedicured legs with transparent illusion panel wedges,” she said.

Koh said Bata also designed something special for youngsters who have a soft spot for sneakers.

“Our sneakers are made fancier with bling so it will make any outfit stand out. There is also one with a laser cut design,” she said.

She said other than Hari Raya collection, Bata also collaborated with ALDO for affordable shoes of and one of them features snake prints which is the current ‘in' look for the season.

Koh said their all-time favourite Bata Comfit range is also enhanced with bling for this festive collection so customers can still enjoy the padded cushion shoes while still looking stylish.

The women’s collection is priced from RM79.90 to RM149.90.

For the men’s collection, Bata is presenting trendy and versatile, smart casual shoes.

Among the interesting features of the men’s shoes include whipstitch details and decorative perforation and there are plenty to choose from variety of closed shoes and mules.

Bata Primavera collection manager Weitat Poh said the men’s collection is timeless, and goes well with the Baju Melayu.

The Ambassador Collection is available at selected flagship stores and features classic leather derby shoes and Chelsea boots.

This year, Bata also presents brogues, mocassins, loafers, lace-up shoes and sandals.

“We also have capal with a twist as it has simple buckle and comfortable midsole,” he said.

The men’s collection is priced from RM59 to RM159.

Not forgetting the kids, Bata also has adorable shoes for the girls with a Hello Kitty collection and favourite cartoon characters for boys.

Little princesses can dress up with ballerina pumps and sandals. The attractive shoes for children come with lights and beads among others.

For children’s collection, it is priced at RM39.90 and RM129.

Besides that, Bata also sells trendy handbags as the essential accessory to complement any festive outfit so you are ready to step out with confidence this Hari Raya.

One of the choices are the dainty floral printed handbags, paired with gold chain straps along with bucket bags.

This year, Bata Malaysia is also giving away charming Marie Claire watches and a RM25 voucher with a minimum spend of RM149 in a single receipt.
