American brand Skechers is known for its light-as-air outer sole, making it a favourite shoe for runners and urban commuters, who spend their days on their feet.
The brand is slowly expanding its portfolio by producing more lifestyle shoes that carry the light identity of a typical Skechers.
Its latest lifestyle store— second after the one at i-City, Shah Alam-- opened at Mid Valley Megamall, Kuala Lumpur in the middle of this month.
The new store in Mid Valley Megamall features new visual merchandising and store design. Instead of the Go Run and Go Walk ranges that the brand is famous for, the store carries different collections— Mark Nason x Skechers, Skechers USA, Sports, Modern Comfort and Street, among others.
"We are excited to introduce this lifestyle store which was purpose-built to showcase the brand's newest designs and latest collections. While digital and mobile marketing continue to grow, we also understand that our customers still demand a shopping experience that allows them to see and touch our products before they buy," Skechers Malaysia general manager CH Cheng says.
"We look forward to introducing more collections as well as stores in our retail network as we believe that the brand will continue to grow", he says.
The collaboration with L.A Gear, featuring three high-cut models that will bring you back to the glory days of L.A. Gear in the late 1980s, are also available here.
The men's range is pretty impressive. Some leather shoes come with super-light outer sole, making them sneaker-comfortable while looking semi-formal. Most of the shoes' upper are made of knitted material, so your feet can breathe and don't feel overheated after walking for a while.
