Since we've spent most of 2020 at home due to the ongoing pandemic, loungewear has risen to the top of the fashion game as the demand for everyday clothes among consumers have accelerated.
Comfort is key when it comes to loungewear but so is style as consumers want to feel good and look presentable in between Zoom meetings and adapting to life indoors. A growing number of fashion brands have created comfortable everyday clothes with aesthetically pleasing designs.
One local brand Anaabu has launched its Santai collection, inspired by the semi-lockdown life Malaysians have adapted to since the pandemic began.
"Santai is created to provide a solution of comfortable, versatile pieces that can be worn both at home and outside, to fit with the current situation," wrote the brand in its press release.
Sporting Anaabu's signature gender-neutral style, the pieces are made with 100 percent cotton to provide ultimate comfort for its wearer.
The collection offers separate top and bottom pieces, allowing customers to pair them up as co-ords or play mix and match. Colours in the range include beige, olive, black and dusty blue.
"In these uncertain times, we are struggling with many aspects in life, be it physically, mentally or financially. Santai collection aims to balance the struggle by providing easy, fuss free and versatile pieces for the wearer," said Anaabu founder, Ana Abu.
In the spirit of helping those in need, Anaabu will donate RM10 from every piece of Santai garment sold to the Imaret (Imam Response & Relief Team) Covid-19 fund.
