Japanese beauty brand Uka made its Malaysian debut at Kens Apothecary recently, bringing simple but effective hair care products that complement salon treatment to keep your scalp healthy and hair, bouncy.
The brand started in Tokyo in 2013, a decade after Uka Total Beauty salon was established in the Japanese capital. What followed was a line of products developed with thoughts put in by its head therapists who have treated and seen the scalps and hair conditions of its customers who came for treatment.
Uka president Kiho Watanabe says women should always have healthy scalp and beautiful hair that looks as if they have just left the salon. "It's in this way that women who are busy can have beautiful hair that shines everyday," she says.
Its routine hair treatment starts with Deep & Light Scalp Cleansing, used before shampoo. Made with natural fragrances such as eucalyptus and mint, with the addition of tea tree, the scent keeps scalp feel fresh, clean and refreshing.
Amino acids and plant-derived cleansing ingredients clean the scalp and keep it in a healthy condition. The brand says since amino acids, which are also constituents of hair and skin, are used as cleansing ingredients, the product is gentle and can be used everyday.
If you have limp hair, then follow with Wake Up Up Up! Shampoo, in a refreshing scent of ginger, vetiver and grapefruit.
A shampoo that gives firmness and elasticity to hair that tends to be soft and crushed, it makes it easier for it to stand up from the roots. With continuous use, the brand says you can prevent hair split, breakage and split ends, and strengthen hair so that it is not easily damaged.
