KUALA LUMPUR: The grand finale of Malaysia Supermodel Search 2023 took place at ParkRoyal Collection Kuala Lumpur on Nov 19, captivating audiences with a display of fashion, talent and beauty.
16 finalists from both the male and female categories battled it out for the crown, culminating in a winner from each category.
Melanie Kok Pui San took the crown for the female category, while Lim Boon Yuen (Jordan) emerged as the champion for the male category.
They were presented with prizes and awards sponsored by The Pines Melaka, Re Plastic Surgery Clinic and CC Journey.
Awards were also given to first female runner-up Wan Mei Xuan (Mandy), first male runner-up Tay Ju Hee, second female runner-up Lee Yu Ying, second male runner-up Muhammad Danish Ilhanz and fan favourite Lee Chen Ling (Eileen).
The winners were determined by a board of judges comprising of catwalk guru Benjamin Toong, Miss Universe Indonesia Whulandary Herma, Miss Astro Chinese International Pageant Fancy Goh, celebrity athlete Goh Liu Ying, fashion designer Hatta Dolmat, Malaysia Supermodel Search 2019 winner Adrian Ng, actress Lavin Seow and supermodel Isaac Ong.
Aside from the contest, the event showcased a fashion show with supermodels gracing the runway. It was supported by Backstage Academy for makeup, Hair Atelier for hair styling, as well as Azukii Beans, Raffles College of Higher Education, MMClot and Tuileries for styling.
The event also featured fashion shows from CC Journey, Mimu, Raffles College of Higher Education, 7 DAYZ and the BENT Bangkok International Kid Fashion Festival.
In collaboration with Runway Productions by Catwalk Guru, Malaysia Supermodel Search 2023 also organised a graduation party, where around 100 graduating students of 2023 showcased their talents on the runway.
Adding glamour to the event, distinguished guests included Miss Universe Malaysia 2022 Lesley Cheam, Mrs International Global 2023 Maria Chan, Mrs Malaysia Globe 2023 Jamie Choong, Malaysia Supermodel Search 2022 winner Nesh, celebrity DJ Leng Yein, TikToker Dr Bengee, Face of Malaysia 2023 winner Kelly Ng and more.
