DESPITE being constantly criticised for their vocals before this, popular actor-singer duo Fattah Amin, 26, and Nur Fazura Sharifuddin, 33, sang their way to the No. 1 spot of the local iTunes chart.
It went to the top spot on the music platform just a day after it was released, according to Fattah in his Instagram post recently. He shared the news with his fans and followers with a screenshot of the iTunes chart.
Titled Cinderella, the duet is par of the original soundtrack for the drama series they star in called Hero Seorang Cinderella.
The image showed that Cinderella, composed by award- winning singer-songwriter Aizat Amdan, beat other songs from international artistes, such as Shape Of You by Ed Sheeran and Something Just Like This by The Chainsmokers and Coldplay.
“Alhamdulillah (Praise be to God), (we’ve reached) No.1 on iTunes in less than a day! Thank you so much to everyone who downloaded the original soundtrack.
“For those who have yet to download, hurry up and do so. Support our local industry!” he wrote, and tagged his duet partner in the post.
Meanwhile, Fazura shared the same screenshot on her Instagram account, with the caption: “Syukur Alhamdulillah. Cinderella is now No. 1 on iTunes! Thank you for all your support. Lots of love!”
Both posts garnered more than 25,000 likes each and were flooded with more than 700 comments of well wishes from fans.

Some fans who have moved from team Lofattah (pairing of Neelofa and Fattah) to team Fattzura also expressed their wish to see the duo take their on-screen romance, off screen.
A Twitter user, @lilmisscha said: “So sweet ! Fazura is better for you Fattah. Pray for you both.”
For Fattah, this marks his second time topping the iTunes chart.
His single, Wanita Terakhir, also composed and written by Aizat, had enjoyed the No.1 spot on the music chart when it was released last January.
