(Showbiz) TV host-actor Henry Golding to bid adieu to TV

HE may have started his career in showbiz as a TV host some seven years ago.

But now that he has been getting more and more acting offers to star in films, he finds the need to shift focus, well at least for now.

Since he was announced as the male lead for an upcoming film Crazy Rich Asians last March and subsequently a role in another Hollywood flick, A Simple Favor, last month, Golding in a recent report, said that Surviving Borneo (the travel programme he is currently hosting on Discovery Channel (Astro channel 551)), might just be his last TV project for the time being.

“I think this (Surviving Borneo), may be for now, one of my last projects. And what a project to go out with. It’s such an amazing personal story.

“I’ve been a travel host for the past six or seven years and this is my ultimate travel story. And it’s come up in the most appropriate time when I’m having such a paradigm shift,” said the 30-year-old English-Iban artiste.

His two films are expected to open in cinemas next year, and Golding is undoubtedly thrilled for that time to come.
