Syamel visiting China, Marsha going for Umrah after AF Megastar

KUALA LUMPUR: Akademi Fantasia Megastar (AF Megastar) finalists Syamel Fodzly and Marsha Londoh have "big plans" for themselves once the eight-week reality talent competition is over tonight.

AF 2015 runner-up Syamel, 24, will represent Malaysia at the ABU TV Song Festival 2017 which will be held at Chengdu, China on Nov 1.

"I'll be competing with 13 artistes from 13 countries, and I'll be performing my second single Lebih Sempurna. I’m also hoping to learn speak some Chinese before my performance in front of Chinese audience,” he said in a recent news report.

Syamel is also hopeful that Lebih Sempurna will be in the finals of Muzik Muzik 32, now that it has made it into the semi-final round.

For 32-year-old Marsha, she will be going Mecca to perform Umrah with her businessman husband Shaiful Nizam Ismail, 29, next month.

“We also hope to seek God’s blessing and our prayers answered.

“We are keen to become parents and sometimes we feel ‘left behind’ as many of our close friends have their own little brood,” said Marsha who is looking forward to this spiritual journey.

Physically and mentally prepared for tonight’s final showdown at Royal Theatre in Shah Alam, Marsha and Syamel admitted to feeling a little concern about their competitors - Bob Yusof, Idayu Yaakob, and Shahir Zawawi who are "formidable fighters" in the contest.

Marsha, AF3's fourth-placed, will perform Hilang, written and composed by Ezra Kong, Omar K and Dilyla Khalid and Pilihlah Aku by Krisdayanti, while Syamel will sing his own composition Biar Cinta and Seniman Menangis by Datuk Jamal Abdillah.
