KUALA LUMPUR: Former Gerak Khas star Abby Abadi recently “shocked” her Instagram followers with a chilling announcement – of her “death”.
The post was really a hoax, but one fully planned and approved by the actress herself, to serve as a reminder to netizens not to spread or believe in rumours or fake news reports which are aplenty in cyberspace.
In her post yesterday, Abby wrote: “Imagine seeing a post like this – one day all of us will meet our Maker, for life and death are in His hands.
“We should not fool around with such important things, should always remind ourselves of this, and do as much good as we can while we still breathe.
“Good deeds are our ticket to His blessings, so always avoid slander and lies.”
Abby’s post received 160 comments and 6,000 likes.
Most of them were thankful that she was hale and hearty, and many commended her for the sobering message.
