KUALA LUMPUR: The sister-in-law of Aslam, who is linked to Marissa Dania Hakim, confirmed the marriage between the two in Songkla, Thailand, last December.
The woman, known as Nadiah Mazlan, revealed briefly that the media reports about the news of the wedding were accurate, according to a recent news report on the portal OhBulan!
"Yes, it's true (Marissa and Aslam) got married in Thailand. The story is the same as what was announced," she said briefly.
Earlier, the rumours of the wedding of Aslam and Marissa, a 19-year-old social media influencer who is also the daughter of celebrity couple Norman Hakim and Abby Abadi, had created a storm online.
Marissa and Aslam, the father of two children and husband to Misya Mazlan, were reported to have tied the knot while his first wife was performing Umrah.
Last September, there was an uproar on social media when Misya came forward to reveal the alleged story of her husband cheating with Marissa.
In a post on social media, Misya revealed that Marissa was allegedly the main cause of her divorce from her husband.
However, Aslam and Misya had decided to reconcile (rujuk) during the waiting period (idah) of the divorce.
