'Criticism won't take away the happiness I'm feeling now' – Fazura

KUALA LUMPUR: Newly-married actress Nur Fazura Sharifuddin admits that she has never felt this happy, now that she is the wife of popular actor Fattah Amin.

She is so contented that whatever criticism hurled at them, has no effect on her at all.

“Some are saying things as if they owned us, as if they owned our lives. I do acknowledge that as celebrities, fans would want to know about our big day too. We wanted to announce it on our own terms, as both sides of our families preferred a low-key affair for the ‘akad nikah’ ceremony,” said the popular artiste in an interview in Petaling Jaya on Sunday.

Their marriage solemnisation which was on top-secret lockdown, was unfolded in private on Nov 27 at a five-star hotel in Kuala Lumpur.

Since then Fazura, 34, and Fattah, 27, had been criticised by some quarters who insisted that as popular artistes, they should not have kept their “akad nikah” a secret.

“Well, we can’t please everyone. The truth is, I’m happier and I feel blessed,” shared Fazura who is enjoying her real-life role as a wife.

“I’m happy to have finally met my match. Each day I’m discovering more about Fattah that makes me feel so privileged,” said the actress who enjoys preparing breakfast and clothes for her husband.

Fazura also revealed that for their wedding reception next year, the couple is planning to have it either in February or March.

“We will only be discussing the reception details next week,” she added.

The newlyweds are planning to take some time off at the end of this month for their honeymoon in the United Kingdom and even visit a few European countries.
