(Showbiz) South Korean travel and variety show Laws Of The Jungle to film in Antarctica

KUALA LUMPUR: Popular travel and survival variety show Laws Of The Jungle is celebrating its 300th episode with a bang.

The celebrity cast and crew will be filming in Antarctica, which marks a first for a South Korean variety programme to do so.

"We are preparing a huge scale project for the new year, as well as the 300th episode special,” said the series’ representative in a news report by allkpop.

Laws Of The Jungle sees its cast travelling to less inhabited places around the world and attempting to survive on their own while experiencing life with local tribes and people.

Since its premiere in 2011, the show has covered various exotic locations such as Micronesia, the Himalayas, Papua New Guinea, Amazon and Galapagos, Siberia, Namibia, Madagascar as well as Borneo.

Only three cast members will be going on the Antarctica expedition, including the series creator Kim Byung-man, who is widely known for his survival skills on the show.

Joining him are actor Kim Young-kwang who appeared on Laws Of The Jungle: New Caledonia, and actress Jeon Hye-bin, who is nicknamed “Jungle Goddess” due to her numerous appearances on the variety show.

Laws Of The Jungle’s episodes in Antarctica are set for broadcast some time in early this year
