(Showbiz) Pamela Anderson hails Tony Fernandes' move to promote kindness to animals on AirAsia

KUALA LUMPUR: AirAsia group chief executive officer Tan Sri Tony Fernandes has been praised by Hollywood actress Pamela Anderson for his support of ethical treatment of animals worldwide.

In a tweet today, Anderson who is active in the global non-governmental organisation People For The Ethical Treatment Of Animals (PETA) said: "Thanks @tonyfernandes for running @PETAAsia's ad in @travel3sixty. Hope to fly with you soon!"

Anderson's statement referred to Fernandes' recent publication of PETA's advertisement in the AirAsia magazine travel3sixty which adcovated the practice of spaying and neutering cats and dogs.

Anderson is best known for her roles on the television series Home Improvement, Baywatch and V.I.P. after rising to fame as Playmate of the Month for Playboy magazine in February 1990.

She has also appeared in films such as Raw Justice (1994), Barb Wire (1996) and Blonde and Blonder (2008).
