'I'll share the good news if I'm expecting'

WHEN a video clip of popular actress Nur Fazura making a casual joke about her cravings, indicating that she could be pregnant, rumours took off and the video went viral on social media.

The 37-year-old, however, kept mum on the issue, until recently when she was asked by reporters at a meet-and-greet session for Indonesian film Ayat-Ayat Cinta 2 at MMCineplexes Damansara, Petaling Jaya, recently.

“Honestly, I’m not sure myself if I am pregnant as I have not taken a pregnancy test, but if I am, I will definitely share the good news with everyone,” she said.

Commenting on the video, Fazura laughed it off and said: “Frankly, I’m just a girl with a huge appetite. I was merely joking in the video and didn’t expect for it to garner so much hype!”

Fazura, who tied the knot with fellow actor Fattah Amin in November, said they were still in the midst of planning two wedding receptions.

“Details on both receptions will be announced soon.”

Meanwhile, speaking on her involvement in Indonesian drama Ayat- Ayat Cinta 2, released last week, Fazura said she felt honoured that the movie had received overwhelming response.

“This is my fourth Indonesian film. It feels really good to know that Indonesians appreciate my talent. Who knows where it will go from here... perhaps there will be offers from the republic in the future,” she added.

In Ayat-Ayat Cinta 2, Fazura plays lawyer Brenda, a supporting role. The movie also stars Malaysian actor Bront Palarae, and Indonesian actors Fedi Nuril, Tatjana Saphira, and Chelsea Islan.
