KUALA LUMPUR: Many fans have been looking forward to the Feb 3 wedding of South Korean celebrity couple Taeyang and Min Hyo-rin.
Fans got excited recently when pictures of the Big Bang member and his soon-to-be wife’s wedding invitation card surfaced on the social media platform.
According to a news report by Koreaboo, the card was revealed by 1TYM‘s Song Baekyoung, who shared the simple but beautiful design in a post on his Instagram account.
Song and Taeyang have known each other for decades through YG Entertainment.
The invitation featured fresh wild flowers on a crisp patterned white background, with a verse from the Bible written on the back, followed by Taeyang and Min’s birth names, Young Bae and Eun Ran respectively.
Song accompanied the picture with a caption that touched on how he had first met Taeyang when he was in elementary school and how he has been as an adult.
It read: “I first met a young 5th grader named Young Bae in a basement training room. That kid grew up to become a member of Big Bang and surprised everyone. And now he’s surprised me once again by getting married and starting a family. I’m more than surprised. I’m so proud and touched.”
It was reported that Taeyang and Min’s respective agencies, YG Entertainment and Plum Entertainment, had released a statement saying that the two would be married in a private ceremony at a church with only family, friends and close acquaintances present.
The couple’s wedding reception would then take place at Paradise City in Incheon, to be attended by their close acquaintances.
The statement also said that due to the couple’s busy schedules, they had not made any honeymoon plans yet.
Min first met Taeyang when she starred in his music video for the song 1AM in 2014 and the two started dating a year later.
