(Showbiz) SEVENTEEN boys give Thanks and share quirky stories

KUALA LUMPUR: Members of popular K-pop group SEVENTEEN expressed their appreciation to fans and shared some quirky stories on a South Korean radio show yesterday.

The 13-male member group, which was on MBC FM4U’s Ji Suk Jin’s 2 O’Clock Date show, had recently released a popular single, Thanks, from its worldwide chart-topping special album Director’s Cut.

According to a news report by Soompi, Woozi said: “We prepared this song because we wanted to express our gratitude to the fans.”

Another member, Jeonghan, took the opportunity to also thank fellow member DK. He said: “I play a lot of tricks on the younger members, especially DK. I want to tell him ‘Thank you for getting along with me.'”

DK apparently responded quickly with: "If we share a room at a hotel, he goes in there first, locks the door, and tells me he’ll open the door if I send him a video of myself acting cute.”

The other members then burst into laughter when Jeonghan replied with: “It’s so cute when DK does ‘buing buing‘ in the hotel hallway.”

Member The8 also shared a little about learning martial arts. "I learned martial arts when I was little, and I also learned how to use nunchuks for three months,” he said.

Radio host Ji Suk Jin then asked him: “If you are given a nunchuck, will you be able to win against (singer, actor and main cast member of Running Man) Kim Jong Kook?”

The8 apparently shook his head vigourously and made everyone laugh with his answer: "Kim Jong Kook is not human.”

Another subject that was discussed during the show was the members’ similarities to other celebrities.

DK said that many people have said that he looked like actor Cho Seung Woo when he smiles. When asked if he ever gets tired of hearing that, DK answered with: “I admire Cho Seung Woo a lot, so I don’t get tired at all.”

Member Vernon revealed a similarity he had with BIGBANG’s G-Dragon. “I heard he likes to play (the strategy game) omok as well. I’d be grateful if he calls me to play with him next time,” he said.

Later on, the members of the award-winning group made a promise that they would handwrite letters and share them if SEVENTEEN won first place on music shows.
