#Showbiz: Ziana Zain threads lightly on 'sensitive' issue

KUALA LUMPUR: Although she has been in the limelight recently for domestic troubles, powerhouse singer Ziana Zain still keeps herself in the public sphere with her music commitments.

“I have to be strong because it’s (singing) my periuk nasi (livelihood). God is ever great and compassionate so I believe that every dark cloud has a silver lining,” she said to BH Online when asked if her husband, Armin Zaharin Ahmad Zambri, had returned to live in their home after being released on bail for the charge of causing hurt to their son on Feb 24.

Met after a recording session for Konsert Dimensi Legenda Raya in Angkasapuri here last night, Ziana, 50, added that what had happened to her family would have to be dealt with very carefully in order to protect the feelings and hearts of everyone involved.

"My side as well as his (husband’s) both need some space and time to mull things over. I have business to attend to and so does he. Furthermore, the matter has gone to court, so it is now a very sensitive issue,” said the songstress of hits like Madah Berhelah, Anggapanmu, Setia Ku Di Sini and Puncak Kasih.

“We don’t know what will happen next. In this case, I prefer to just let it play out as it has been fated,” she said.

Her 53-year-old husband claimed trial to voluntarily causing hurt to one of their children with a rotan. Armin was charged under Section 324 of the Penal Code, which carries a maximum 10 years' jail or a fine or whipping, or any two of the punishments upon conviction. His case will be mentioned again on April 4.
