#Showbiz: Singer Anuar Zain worries no one will turn up at his concert

KUALA LUMPUR: Despite his popularity and experience, crooner Anuar Zain is always on tenterhooks whenever he has a large scale concert to perform.

It is not because he is not confident of his vocal capability or stamina, but the 48-year-old artiste wonders if his fans will still come and watch his performance.

“With the current economic situation and more options for entertainment, I really hope that there would still be those who appreciate and enjoy live shows, and take the trouble to come and watch me and my fellow artistes perform at the end of this month,” he told reporters at the Anuar Zain, Bunga Citra Lestari & Yuka Kharisma Live In Concert press conference at E&O Residences Kuala Lumpur recently.

Anuar will be sharing the stage with two Indonesian singers, Bunga Citra Lestari and Yuka Kharisma, during the two-hour concert to be held at the Plenary Hall, Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre on April 28.

“As both Bunga and Yuka also have their own fans, I hope together we will all have a great time that evening,” he said.

Besides having their on solo slots of 30 minutes each, Anuar said that the three of them were down to perform a couple of songs together.

“I will also be singing my new single,” revealed Anuar of his new single out soon.

Tickets for Anuar Zain, Bunga Citra Lestari & Yuka Kharisma Live In Concert are priced from RM159 and RM1599. Tickets are available at www.tickethotline.com.my
