KUALA LUMPUR: Iconic ‘band of brothers’ KRU’s giant 25th anniversary concert is less than a month away, from May 4 to 6, yet tickets for the awaited show are selling fast.
KRU Studios managing director Datuk Norman Abdul Halim said ticket sales opened yesterday and after several hours, only 1,000 were left for fans.
"Fans got to get tickets for our Konsert Gergasi KRU25 fast, as there are only 1,000 left. They're ready for sale at www.kruarena.com," he said in an Instagram post yesterday.
KRU, which comprises Norman and his younger brothers Yusry and Edry also said in a statement on their Facebook page that they had handed over ticket sales to Ticket Hotline, and it would be launching online ticket sales next week.
"Those interested in purchasing tickets, please follow us on Instagram as we will publish the link once it goes live.
"For those of you who have already purchased your tickets, Ticket Hotline will provide you further details including assigned seat numbers, via email. Thank you in advance for your patience.
"We thank you for your support and look forward to welcoming you to Konsert Gergasi KRU25 next month," the statement said.
Konsert Gergasi KRU25 will take place at Istana Budaya and marks the climax of the hip-hop and pop trio's 25th anniversary celebrations which began at the Esplanade in Singapore in August 2016.
The concert will be enhanced with state-of-the-art visuals on LED screens and the latest fashion designs from Jovian Mandagie.
Tickets for the 8.30pm concert are priced between RM158 and RM1,188.
Divided into sections named after KRU songs, they comprise The Way We Jam (RM588), Ooh La La (RM588), Awas (RM488), Fanatik (RM488), Apa Saja (RM388), Janji Tinggal Janji (RM388), Jangan Lafazkan (RM388), Untukmu (RM388) and Tahan Lama (RM288), as well as the VVIP seats (RM1,188).
The Mengerti (RM288), Terhangat Di Pasaran (RM188), Tiga Kata (RM158) and Dekat Padamu (RM158) seats have been sold out.
