KUALA LUMPUR: Singer and actress Dr Soo Wincci will soon be off to an American university to pursue her second doctorate.
She said it would be a doctorate in philosophy at either Harvard or New York University.
“It’s going to be a long journey for me, but I don’t believe in looking back. It’s always good to upgrade your skills, and I’m doing just that,” she said in a news report yesterday.
Soo who is currently pursuing a music course at the Berklee College of Music’s campus in Valencia, Spain said she took the course since July last year.
The 33-year-old former Miss World Malaysia 2008, pursued a doctorate in business administration at Open University Malaysia (OUM) when she was 25. She completed it two years ago.
She also has a masters of business administration from the University of the Sunshine Coast, Australia and a law degree from the University of Reading, the United Kingdom.
“I hope to do my best and excel internationally,” said Soo who aspires to penetrate Hollywood someday.
“The sky is the limit. I would love to act in Hollywood, and do Malaysia proud. I want to work hard enough to eventually win a Grammy or an Oscar!”
