KUALA LUMPUR: American rocker Chris Daughtry will be back to rock Malaysia with his band Daughtry on July 13.
The multi-platinum singer-songwriter of hit songs such as “Feels Like Tonight”, “Home” and his Grammy-nominated debut single “It’s Not Over”, will perform in the Daughtry Live In KL 2018 concert at KL Live at Life Centre, 20, Jalan Sultan Ismail, at 8.30pm.
Expect arena-style rock from the charismatic 39-year-old frontman, who is known for his powerful vocal belting technique and wide vocal range.
The band will also be playing new material including its latest single, “Backbone”.
Active since 1999, the rocker has become one of the most visible and consistent rock & roll torchbearers of the 21st Century.
Since rising to prominence on the fifth season of American Idol, Daughtry has released four Billboard Top 10 albums, which has sold over eight million copies collectively in the US.
Constantly challenging himself creatively, Daughtry has collaborated with various artistes such as Timbaland, Vince Gill and Carlos Santana. He also took on the role of Judas Iscariot in the 2016 live television performance of The Passion and even fulfilled a lifelong dream by drawing the cover of a Batman comic, which was rated as one of the Top 25 covers of the year by BatmanNews.com.
Aside from Malaysia, Daughtry will also be performing in Singapore and Thailand as part of the band’s Asian tour.
Tickets will go on sale on May 21 from 10am onwards. A limited amount of early bird tickets will be available at a special rate of RM258, on a first come, first served basis.
