#Showbiz: Netizens suggest Azrinaz makes comeback to broadcasting

KUALA LUMPUR: Newlywed former television host Azrinaz Mazhar Hakim may be enjoying her ‘honeymoon’ in Palestine, but Malaysians miss her presence on television.

She uploaded a brief Instagram video of herself explaining the history of Palestine’s iconic Dome Of The Rock yesterday, and many Netizens loved it.

They praised her skills at introducing the Dome’s basic facts to laymen and elaborating on its beauty, and said that her voice sounded as “clear and authoritative” as before.

“Love it, Azrinaz. I strongly feel you should make a comeback to broadcasting. We all miss you,” said Maziah.

“Great content, casual presentation, nice shot,” said Engku Azmin.

“Salam Ramadan Kak. You’re still a powerful host,” said Nurafizah.

Azrinaz, 39, and her husband Fairos Khan Abdul Hamid, 43, tied the knot on May 1 and chose Jerusalem in Palestine as their “honeymoon” destination.

In her two-minute video, with 60,000 views, Azrinaz said: “With the grace of God, we breached the Israeli-controlled border of Palestine, and entered Jerusalem without any untoward incidents. We all marvelled at the wonders of this beautiful mosque, the world’s second oldest, and got close to the Holy Prophet’s history and that of his disciples.”

Shortly after her marriage, she said that her visit to Palestine was “a spiritual journey, best shared by newlyweds.”

Azrinaz was once married to Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei, from 2005 to 2010 and had two children Pengiran Muda Abdul Wakeel, 12, and Pengiran Anak Puteri Ameerah Wardatul Bolkiah, 10.
