KUALA LUMPUR: Los Angeles-based singer Yunalis Mat Zara’ai or Yuna advises her young female fans to stay away from men who are already taken so as to avoid problems arising later.
The 31-year-old artiste said that with youth on their side, they should not allow themselves to be dragged into other people’s problems.
“Get out of such a relationship and don’t remain or become the third person in other people’s marriage. You might get dragged into their marital problem or worse be the problem,” she said in a Q&A session with her fans via Insta-Story recently.
To a question on relationships, Yuna who tied the knot with director Adam Sinclair early this year, advised her young fans to get to know their boyfriends well first before moving on to a more serious phase.
“When the time comes, don’t be afraid to tell how you feel about him. But you have to be prepared for any response. Don’t be afraid of rejection, at least you’re brave enough to share your feelings and can move on,” she said.
But Yuna also cautioned that each relationship was unique on its own and that she could only offer her personal opinions.
“Whatever your situation is, always think through before you make any decision,” said the singer whose collaboration with Canadian DJ/producer Ekali, Leaving (https://youtu.be/JuyfILT7Ryo), was released on YouTube last month.
